Palm Island Jumeirah, Dubai

Vacuum Sewer System

An artificial island in the Persian Gulf, Palm Island Jumeirah is one of Roediger®'s most prestigious projects, not only in appearance but also in its technical achievements, which remain impressive almost ten years after completion. The project posed extreme challenges for both ecological and economic reasons. Roediger® emerged successful among numerous bidders with a comprehensive concept, from planning to technical support post-completion. The centerpiece is the world's largest vacuum station, connecting around 23,000 residents to a network spanning approximately 40 kilometers. Thanks to an integrated shaft monitoring system, residents can rely on consistent and reliable wastewater disposal.

Special Highlights

  • Installed a vacuum sanitation system for the entire artificial island
  • Number of inhabitants: approximately 23,000

  • Full-service project including planning, installation, and support
